Vahanian & Boyce of Vahanian & Associates Attend National Advisory Conference
Jeffrey C. Vahanian, CFP®, President of Vahanian & Associates Financial Planning Inc. and Bonnie M. Boyce, MBA, CFP®, Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer of Vahanian & Associates Financial Planning Inc. attended Advisor Group’s ConnectED National Conference in Nashville, TN in October. This year, roughly 4,000 financial professionals from across the country connected to discuss key themes within advisory business, financial markets, strategic growth and operational efficiencies.
The ConnectED conference also serves as a forum for the Advisor Support Council to collaborate, share best practices, effectively communicate with the Advisor Group’s home office and National Advisory Board. Vahanian’s Bonnie Boyce has served as a Council Member since 2005 and continues to be an invaluable resource and leader to the council and Advisor Group community. Boyce also served as Chairperson from 2010 until 2013.
Over the years, the ConnectED conference has been a platform for educational advancement and peer to peer engagement, and this year was no different. Jeffrey and Bonnie had the opportunity to connect with financial professionals and peers during breakout sessions and roundtable discussions. Keynote speakers included Peyton Manning, two-time Super Bowl winning Quarterback and Dr. Joe Coughlin, Leader of the MIT AgeLab. Dr. Joe Coughlin presented to the advisory group on how global demographics, technology and changing behaviors are transforming business and society. Additionally, ESPN Host, Gold Medalist, and survivor of two rare neurological disorders, Victoria Arlen, presented to the group about her journey of determination and self-discovery.
Vahanian & Associates has been among the leading financial planning and investment management firms affiliated with Advisor Group since 1986. This particular conference also included discussions on ESG investing. This is a means of investing that supports investors in including environmental, social and governance concerns into their investment management process. The timing of these discussions is particularly appropriate as Vahanian & Associates has significantly expanded upon the ESG investing field for many of its clients.
