FUN FACT ABOUT ME: Before forming Vahanian & Associates Financial Planning in 1986, I was a television sportscaster for an NBC affiliate in Fort Smith, Arkansas and an ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH. I won the Associated Press award for sports journalism in the Fort Smith market in 1984 and 1985 and subsequently covered the New England Patriots in their run to Super Bowl XX where they lost to the Chicago Bears in January of 1986. By the time I went with the Pats to New Orleans, I had just met and fallen in love with my wife, Corinne. We were engaged a week after I returned and I decided that a career in television would not support the lifestyle I wanted to share with her. So, much to the shock of everyone around me, I quit the business, moved to Saratoga Springs, NY and started the firm that has allowed me the privilege of being a difference maker and guide for individuals and families as they pursue the lifestyles and objectives that matter most to them.
For my 60th birthday, my team surprised me with a video montage that includes old footage from my sportscasting days, as well as other contributions from our close-knit team. I think the video highlights our caring culture and camaraderie. Check it out!
Jeffrey is President and owner of Vahanian & Associates Financial Planning Inc., formed in 1986, and the lead financial advisor; directing financial planning and investment management decisions.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Jeffrey actively meets with clients to support them in establishing goals and strategies designed to pursue their objectives. His aim is to help them take constructive action in their personal and financial lives through careful planning and consideration. Jeffrey credits his parents, both psychologists, for his communication skills and ability to facilitate family discussions on challenging, yet important subject matters. He prides himself on his ability to communicate complex ideas in a digestible manner, and often through the use of metaphor. His aim is to bring people together, identify goals, values and objectives, and come up with an actionable, realistic game plan.

As a former sportscaster for NBC and ABC affiliates in his younger days, many local radio and television networks have invited Jeffrey to be a guest financial planning specialist on various programs throughout the Capital District. In fact, he has appeared on Fox TV 23, WTEN-TV 10 (ABC) and WMHT – Public Television as a financial planning advisor since 1993. Jeffrey has been featured in national publications such as “Success Stories, Dow Jones Investment Advisor, Investment News, Financial Planning, and Registered Representative” magazines.
Jeffrey is a 1980 graduate of Skidmore College. Since 1986 he has participated as a speaker for various alumni panels for his alma mater and also serves as a student coach on behalf of the business department. He is married, has two children, and lives in the Saratoga area. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and traveling with his wife, Corinne. Jeffrey’s daughter, Cameron Corsi, joined Vahanian & Associates in 2016 after living and working in Boston for many years. Jeffrey’s son, Nicholas, works in the digital media and technology startup space.
